Michael Glenn Morrison II, Esq.

Michael serves as an employment attorney with Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, LLC. Prior to joining Ogletree, Michael practiced law with Van Kampen Law, PC in Charlotte, North Carolina and Bailey & Dixon, LLP in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Michael is a servant leader whose lived experiences have established a major philosophical imperative to his work: “Everyone is Based on a True Story.” He believes that nothing threatens access to justice more than a story untold. Michael received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law, and his B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While attending UNC, Michael worked with the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs as the Programs and Facilities Coordinator.

At the intersection of Michael’s academic training, work experiences, and salient identities – a Christian, African American male raised in the South by a Marine father and an educator mother – lies his appreciation of, and sensitivity to, the diversity of people he works with. Michael specializes in examining implicit bias and its impact on social settings, legal constructs, and workplace environments. His expertise provides clients with space to cultivate individual growth and develop policies that foster greater inclusion.
